BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT REPRESENTATIVE

The Business Development Representative will use strategic relationship management techniques to identify current and long-term business goals and enablers to drive TYBRAM business forward. In this role, you will implement effective strategies designed for monitoring and evaluating the partnership process and attainment of mutual goals. Establish positive and professional relationships with customers and stakeholders with on-going dialogue to find solutions to meet organizational needs. Make business partners and their needs a primary focus of one’s actions.Develop and sustain productive partner relationships; seek information to understand partners’ circumstances, problems, expectations and needs, and respond quickly to resolve problems or concerns.

Responsibilities

  • Lead business development activities of programs and solutions for government agencies or prime contractors doing government business.
  • Develop capture strategies for new business opportunities and for re-competes of existing programs.
  • Identify and establish strategic relationships with industry and government customers.
  • Conduct competitive assessments on opportunities; make recommendations on teaming partners and draft teaming agreements appropriate for specific opportunities.
  • Prepare status reports and capabilities briefings for Senior Management.
  • Maintain appropriate records, metrics and documentation; track, monitor, and report data to support business development.
  • Maintains key business development contacts with current and potential customers and teammates.
  • Evaluates and manages new business opportunities, initiatives, and partnerships.
  • Oversee market analysis, monitors competitive activity, and identifies customer needs.
  • Serves as capture manager for assigned opportunities.
  • Advises executive leadership on status or actions required for existing and potential business development opportunities.
  • Develops and administers schedules, opportunity pipeline, capture plans and is responsible for budgets.

Requirements

  • Must have an active SECRET (or higher) Security Clearance with ability to obtain a Top Secret (TS)/Special Compartmented Information (SCI) with Polygraph clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of business development, government sales/marketing experience.
  • Proven track record of identifying, qualifying, and assisting capture and proposal efforts in support of winning large, technology-based solutions contracts within the Federal and State Government.
  • Knowledge of major industry competitors.
  • Experience gaining agreement from internal and external business partners.

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project).
  • Proven track record of identifying, qualifying, and assisting capture and proposal efforts in support of winning large, technology-based solutions contracts within the Federal Government with emphasis on DoD agencies.

Education:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master +8 years’ related work experience, 14 years’ related work experience, etc.).
