HUMAN RESOURCE GENERALIST

The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for the day to day operation of the Human Resources function. The HR Generalist provides administrative support to the Human Resource Manager in development, coordination, and application of HR policies and procedures. Primary contact regarding payroll, benefits and temporary staffing.

Responsibilities

  • Provides advice and counsel to team members regarding human resource related requests and questions.
  • Conducts recruitment efforts for non-exempt internal and external positions and temporary personnel including new employee orientations; administers pre-employment tests; conducts reference checks.
  • Manages the company’s performance review program.
  • Maintains all aspects of the employee benefits program including the annual review process, assembling and distributing essential forms and benefits paperwork, benefits administration, and utilizing benefit websites to keep in contact with benefit vendors.
  • Maintains HR records by designing a filing and retrieval system; managing past and current records.
  • Implements and annually updates compensation program; rewrites job descriptions as necessary; conducts annual salary surveys; monitors performance evaluation program and revises as necessary.
  • Administers various human resources plans and procedures for all company personnel; assists in development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains employee handbook and policies and procedures manual.
  • Participates in leadership staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.
  • Maintains company organization charts and employee directory.

Requirements

  • Must have an active SECRET (or higher) Security Clearance.
  • 5+ years of experience working with Microsoft Office Products such as Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with an emphasis in Human Resources Management
  • 5+ years Human Resource Management
  • Professional Certifications – SHRM or PHR Certification

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with an emphasis in Human Resources Management.
